Considering a move to Newport...

Neither are anecdotal stories about anything. And "people" were not banging on about free prescriptions - it was an illustration that the NHS in England and Wales is different and comparisons are not indicative of anything in particular. As I said.

I grew up in Newport but wouldn’t want to move back now , I would always aim for Abergavenny, Monmouth or closer to Newport Caerleon
