The rules for Commuters

If you were in charge of making the rules for commuters to stick with to be allowed on public transport what would they be.

I will start with the following:

Do not stand in front of the doors blocking passengers getting off
Stick to your side of the seat - particularly applicable to men
Put your phone on mute
Use headphones if you are listening to anything
No watching porn
Take rucksacks off and place at your feet as otherwise your backpack can hit someone sitting in the face
No eating lovely smelling food

So what else would everyone add to the list?

No eating foul smelling food!

Move down the bus so others can get on.

Main rule: Blow your nose and STOP SNIFFING!

Walk as quickly as you reasonably can. Do NOT block people’s way by ambling along looking at your phone, especially when going up or down stairs. If you do this then you deserve to drop your phone & have it trodden on.

This includes on the escalator. The only good reason to walk on the escalator is to save time. If you want to go slowly then stand on the right out of the way.

Do not block the stair case on the bus. Everyone who is physically able should sit upstairs on the bus to reduce congestion. Metro newspapers to be removed and luggage areas reinstated.

No egg sandwiches
No feet on seats
Headphones If you’re listening to anything

Shower & wash your clothes regularly.

Move down the bloody carriage and don’t pretend you can’t.

Take off your rucksack instead of twirling around and banging it against everyone obliviously.

As someone said above STOP SNIFFING and making gurgly snot noises.
