Do you ever piss yourself off?

I've pissed myself off this morning. I did some passport photos a while ago, in no rush for a new passport, then had a couple of big expenses so I left it. I've got them out of the cupboard this morning, and realised the code on the photos is only valid for 30 days.

FFS, so now I need to spend another £9 because I didn't read the bloody thing properly 😩

I also left washing in the machine overnight, and it doesn't smell as fresh. Debating whether to just give it a go and dry it anyway or wash it again.

All the time.

Blackkittenfluff · 07/03/2025 11:29

Stick the washing out to dry, it'll be fine.

Pootles34 · 07/03/2025 11:33

All the time. I'm the biggest dickhead I know, by a long shot.

TulipTuesday · 07/03/2025 11:34

Yep. All the time.

I wouldn’t be friends with me, I’m an arsehole.

AllTheTreesOfTheField · 07/03/2025 11:42

I'm bone idle and a complete twonk. Piss myself off on the daily.

Breadcat24 · 07/03/2025 11:46

Missing the point of the thread but if you are in the uk and do the online application you can just take a photo with your phone standing against a plain white background

spiderlight · 07/03/2025 11:48

All the time. I ignored a squeal from the tumble dryer for weeks because I knew it would be a major hassle to excavate it from the cupboard to get it looked at, and today it's completely dead - made a horrible noise and a burning smell when I turned it on and the drum won't turn at all. It would probably have been a cheaper and easier fix if I'd sorted it straight away.

offmynut · 07/03/2025 11:49

Yes every day off the week leading up to my period other than that im my own best friend.

LivingLaVidaBabyShower · 07/03/2025 11:50

Every. Single. Day.

my expectations of myself are the same as they were pre- kids.
my brain and bandwidth is not…

WilmaTitsDrop · 07/03/2025 11:51

Regularly.

I'm currently non contact with myself due to yesterday's laziness.

Changingname1988 · 07/03/2025 11:52

Most days OP! My brain works in a 2 steps forward and 1 step back way, or often 1 step forward and 2 steps back…constantly make life far more difficult for myself than it needs to be.

Currently procrastinating on MN because I have a task that is far too large to complete in the time I have to do it in and I’m frozen with fear about it. Will end up working at 4am in the morning to get it done.

JourneyToThePlains · 07/03/2025 11:52

Haha yes. I lost my glasses yesterday and gave myself a little telling off.

What I find odd is that I literally said, well this is all we need.

Who is we??? 😂

LovingHare · 07/03/2025 11:52

the washing usually is ok

Mingenious · 07/03/2025 11:53

Daily. I’m generally quite incompetent at a lot of things other people seem to find second nature, I’ve spent a lot of my life not liking myself very much! I get right on my own nerves.

Runningoutofpatiencefucksandmoney · 07/03/2025 11:55

All the time 🤣

These replies are hilarious btw, made me laugh out loud. Which I haven't done in a very long time.

DancingLions · 07/03/2025 12:37

All the time! I'm a terrible procrastinator and I never seem to learn my lesson. I get overwhelmed with all the things I need to do and instead of just getting on and doing them, I sit there feeling guilty that I'm not! I sometimes even take an afternoon nap to avoid thinking about what I should be doing 😂I annoy myself daily.

Brilliant!

I often tell myself out loud "well this won't do, will it?"'

Seems to get me motivated🤩

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 07/03/2025 15:29

All the time. I pissed myself off this morning when I couldn’t find my car keys, it was not helped by DS helpfully suggesting I start using the key holder!

I also piss myself off every night by taking my contact lenses out before I’ve found my glasses and then have to look around for them without being able to see 🙈.

Omg. I had such a terrible day today and all the answers just made me laugh! so thank you all.

and glad to know I’m not the only one that annoyed herself.

Sweetpea333 · 07/03/2025 21:17

I treated myself to 2 beautiful glasses for £30 as a treat for having a shit few months. I used one and put it beside the sink as they're too delicate for the machine. I kept thinking 'I should wash that and put it away'. Yup. I knocked it over and smashed it 😪

loveulotslikejellytots · 07/03/2025 21:20

@18hourfastcompleted I'll check my inbox. Thank you.

Glad I'm not the only numpty around here. I will also add to the list stripping all the beds at 8:30 this morning when I saw the sunshine, then realising when it was time to bath the kids I'd not made them all. Or in fact managed to wash any of them today because I ended up working longer than I planned.
