If you had millions like Meghan......

Would you be making a series about petals and spaghetti or doing something useful?

I watched about 3 minutes of it.

Thought this might be a safe zone away from Meghan bashing - and yes, I know I didn't have to open the thread.
I asked MN to move it to the Royal Family board but zero response from them...

Maybe they consider bullying and harassement in the workplace a topic relevent to many MN posters?

BodenCardiganNot · 07/03/2025 15:06

@BrightonRocket

Or maybe they like the traffic that the loons bring on threads about Meghan.

x2boys · 07/03/2025 15:08

She ,s never actually been charged with anything so is therefor not a criminal as you are trying to insinuate its all rumours and hearsay and lets face ot anything to have a bash at her

bad behaviour isn't necessarily criminal behaviour. You can be a twat without breaking the law.

I was replying to a pp who suggested she was breaking the law in America
But again it's all hearsay anyway.

iamnotalemon · 07/03/2025 16:56

I thought she wanted a life away from the limelight?

"its all rumours and hearsay"

Why would you choose to dismiss the testimonies of dozens of brave victims and witnesses of bullying and harrasment by Meghan Markle who have dared to speak out about their ordeals?

Each individual will have disclosed their experiences with an investigative journalist and the resulting allegations complied will have been rigorously reviewed to ensure they are legally watertight before publishing by each of the numerous, separate, independent and highly credible publications.

These reports show consistent and persistent appalling behaviour and treatment of colleagues and staff over many years in numerous workplace settings. There is no need for anyone to subject another human being to such hostility that they are hounded from their jobs or need to seek professional support for injury to their mental health.

The highly litigous Meghan Markle has not challenged any of these allegations or publications for defamation or libel - ask yourself why not.

I agree it is not yet a crime until the process of a report to police, a charge and any court case were to conclude.

LaBorde · 07/03/2025 17:05

I can’t even be bothered to read the thread.

But how do you know that she has millions.

From the press?

Personally I think they aren’t at all rich. They are on the bare bones of their arses.

Theunamedcat · 07/03/2025 17:09

Snorlaxo · 07/03/2025 10:08

She can only make content approved by Netflix and serious, worthy content isn’t going to make money. (Remember that they cancelled “Pearl” )

I don’t think that being rich means that you should only do serious content. If you’re rich you have the luxury of picking projects that you would enjoy filming and since this project was filmed near their home, that might have been a major draw. The couple left the RF so they could pursue commercial projects for the money and not have to consider the social worthiness.

I’ve not watched it and won’t ever watch it apart from short clips that I’ve seen on social media so won’t comment on content but will be interested on reviews of 30 dollar strawberry spreads etc

I know she makes content approved by netflix I just want to know how badly she pissed off netflix to let that horror out in public it makes her look really really bad I cannot believe she is really that bad they have done a hatchet job on her....right?

And yet it's the fourth most popular programme bring streamed by Netflix at the moment.

joose · 07/03/2025 17:22

it's just been renewed for a second season:

CurlewKate · 07/03/2025 17:25

If I had millions, I would buy Mumsnet and only allow one thread about each member of the RF at a time....

Ionut · 07/03/2025 17:25

ohfook · 07/03/2025 10:34

And also I'd rather a rich millionaire nobbing around with candles and spaghetti than a rich billionaire buying their way into a government.

True facts.

Secondarystruggles · 07/03/2025 17:29

hotpotlover · 07/03/2025 10:48

I like her netflix series.

She's extremely rich and doesn't have to work a traditional 9 to 5 that's why she's got more time on her hands than "normal mums".

But the things I watched so far were interesting. The ingredients aren't very exotic, they seem easily attainable and she gave me some inspiration with her rainbow fruit platter for children and the heart shaped sandwiches.

Will keep on watching!

Sounds no different to Gwyneth flogging lifestyle/goods on goop.

This description made me laugh though, chopped up fruit and cutting out some shaped sandwiches. Sounds like Brooklyn Beckham level of cooking 😂isn’t that just bog standard kids party food? I’m not sure it deserves to be televised!

coxesorangepippin · 07/03/2025 17:29

Nope

No it isn't in the UK? not even top ten according to this

Sorry it was number four yesterday and number five today in the UK literally looking at it on my tv screen right now.

bluegreen89 · 07/03/2025 11:03

If you want to help people then why don't you train in a profession that would do that. Or think big and start a NGO. Or work for a charity! Or volunteer once a week. Or do a good deed once a day. Or sign up to a befriending scheme for refugees. Or do a big cook once a week for a homeless charity that hands out hot meals.
What doesn't help people is spending your time bashing MM on MN for not doing what you think she should do. Get a life!

I have done most of those things. I have a life. Thanks

Don’t believe the hype. There will be a second part but it was all filmed at the time the first one was. It’s just fulfilling contractual obligations at this point.

Well, according to that standard a lot of things don't deserve to be televised.

I find it interesting and so do others.

It doesn't have to be everyone's cup of tea - that's why there is a huge variety of different things to watch on Netflix.

Oh I thought this was going to be a fantasy thread of what we'd do with a bunch of money. 🤣 I'd retire from work and work on my novel.

Let's do that instead.

I'd buy a big grade 2 listed house and have the heating on full

Exactly you csn either choose to watch it or not .

EasternStandard · 07/03/2025 19:16

I don't watch her stuff but really she can just ponce about with petals and over idyllic imagery as many do to on IG.

It's kind of the ramped up version of that. She's there due to RF connection, and milking it. But so many love doing lifestyle stuff. In the end she wanted to be an actress and gets a show.

I have millions (not as many as Meghan, but enough) but it's really nice to earn my own money and show my kids that work and a useful life is important, especially for women. So yeah, she's an actor and is plying her trade. The downside of being a creative is that not everyone is going to enjoy your output.
