Before I buy a whole new mattress can someone give me some tips to keep my sheets on with a topper

We have a Simba mattress that's only about 2 years old. For some unknown reason DH bought a hard mattress and we faffed too much to be able to return the mattress within the trial period. We needed something less like lying on the actual floor so bought a Panda topper, which is comfortable. My issue is I can't keep the fitted protector and sheet on the bed and it's driving me crazy. I've tried using the elastic straps that click on and have tried a few extra deep sheets. It's not just that the topper makes it deeper than a standard mattress but the topper seems to move around a lot as well.

I'm at the stage where I'm just about to get rid of my current mattress and buy a softer one. It just seems like such a waste. It's a super king so can't be passed on to the kids and it's going to be a major pain to get it down our twisty stairs (part of the reason we bought a mattress in a box). Has anyone got any solutions?

Following with interest. Our fitted sheets stays in the super king so can’t help there, but our topper also migrates – entirely to DP’s side and hangs off the side there so I’m convinced it’s his sleep “pulling” it rather than my sleep “pushing” it (as I couldn’t push it underneath him). Drives me potty.

Flat sheet works for me, tucked in tight under the mattress.
I have a superking bed with a separate topper.
A flat sheet stops anything moving

Does your topper not move at all?

Use extra deep fitted bottom sheets.

Dunelm do deep fitted sheets. I have the panda topper and they don't ever come off for me.

Three way bed gaiters, so they clip on at the corner and along each side.

Use 2 pairs if needed, one for the topper, one for the fitted sheet.

We used the two clip gaiters before, but they would sonetimes come unclipped.

Nope, the topper has extra deep sides (Dunelm), the fitted sheet keeps everything in place, I tuck it under the mattress tightly.
I've tried fitted sheets but they seem to "ping" off.
Trust me, a flat sheet is the way to go
