What would you do if your husband kissed someone on a night out?

Following the Danny Jones/Maura Higgins story from the brits it’s made me wonder what I’d do in his wife’s situation. I love her and listen to her podcast so I feel like it’s almost my friend it’s happened to every time I see her in an article. It could have been ‘just’ a drunken kiss but there are a few layers to it with the fact he spent 3 weeks in the jungle with her and you’ve only seen a few seconds on video of what he’s done.. you have no idea what’s been going on the full night, which could almost be worse than a quick kiss!

What would you do in that situation or similar? Could you forgive him?

Providing we both worked on whatever “need” wasn’t being “met” at the time. And we were both sure we wanted to spend our lives together moving forwards - yes I would forgive.

Marriages are not black and white. They’re life long companionships between two imperfect people (nobody is perfect) in a crazy tangled up world.

I don’t think I could forgive a prolonged sexual affair though.

(….and be careful with what you see / watch online and believe as fact. In hindsight I wish I hadn’t replied to a thread discussing someone else’s marriage!)

Well you can tell by that kiss they are much more than good friends: there is an intimacy between them.
That's the thing isn't it if your DH kissed someone it's unlikely to have come out of nowhere. Alcohol just makes people lose their inhibitions and act on what they feel.
And I don't see being drunk as any sort of excuse.
So no, I wouldn't forgive a drunken kiss because I would see it as the mask having slipped and the true self and feelings revealed.
