Long story short I was domestically abused by my partner I finally got away from him and went to the police he was put on bail but managed to talk me around to retract my statement kept saying how much it was killing him not being able to see his daughter so I felt really bad and went ahead and retracted the statement since then he’s seen her a few times but then not been interested he basically did it to save himself from going to prison now I’m feeling like and idiot and so angry that he has got away with doing what he did to me and my children does anybody no if there is a way round getting the case back on the go ?

I'm sure you can make a report of a crime at any point. You won't be the first to retract a statement in a DV situation

Just call the police department that dealt with your original complaint and ask them?

I feel stupid though because I retracted the statement in November and they might think why she saying this now but I did it for him and my daughter thinking he was really missing her and it was hurting him when really he just did it all to get him off his charges he was never interested in his daughter and everyone kept telling me that but I wouldn’t listen to them I crnt beleive I fell for his lies again

They are used to this. You are not stupid just under the influence of an abuser. It’s still possible that the CPS won’t prosecute but at least it’s on record.

Good luck.

Try going back making the statement again and tell him he got round you, be truthful, I went through this in 2015, he didn't get jailed or anything sadly as it wasn't made the last then, he also got to keep my money and all our stuff, meanwhile and the kids had to start over with nothing, it's hard but it's worth it in the long term. Trust me you dont want a guy like that round your children. We have a permanent injunction against him.

I mean tell them he got round you, your not stupid. This is hard situation to be in.

He has been to court for domestic violence before on his ex so he told me he would have been going to prison this time he was put on bail for assault. Coercive and controlling behaviour and stalking and kept telling me he would rather be dead than go to prison and that it was killing him not seeing his daughter then when his bail was lifted he saw her 3 times I think it was and then every time I would mention when he was having his daughter he would just completely blank it and give me abuse about things totally not about his daughter so it was all a lie just to save himself from going to prison I think. I will contact the officer that was dealing with it all and see what she says to me about it all.. thankyou for replying to me I just didn’t no if I had a leg to stand on after retracting my statement and didn’t want to make myself look stupid if you no what I mean

You do have a leg to stand on, I hope it all goes well for you.
