Taking mounjaro with gallstone

Has anyone taken mounjaro that have gallstones. Some sites advise against it and won’t supply it and others say to be aware it can cause problems but still supply it as long as you pay attention to your health if it gives you any problems you must stop it.

I believe the problem is less the MJ and more the losing weight. I developed gallstones after losing 3 stone a few years ago. I ended up with emergency surgery when the sodding thing got badly affected. Weight loss is a common cause of gallstones forming so given that's going to be your goal there is an increased likelihood your stones will get worse.

I’ve got gallstones(totally asymptomatic found on an unrelated scan) and have been on mounjaro for a year with no ill effects. My GP knows and is happy. I get mine via Superdrug prescribed by a doctor who also informs my GP each time I reorder.

I have lost weight slowly. On average 2lbs per week.

My doc said it's ok as long as you lose weight slowly

Thank you for your reply. It’s for my daughter, she is at the stage she has to loose weight or it is going too affect her health, well it is already is if I am honest. She does not know wether to take the risk under dr’s supervision. She has been referred to be seen by the hospital regarding the removal but god knows how long that will take to be seen. She wants to loose weight for the operation as well as her health.
