Universal credit does anyone know?

My daughter is entitled to a council property. She has been told to apply for universal credit even though she works. She earns circa 25500 a year. The turn to us calculator says she isn’t entitled to anything. Is this correct? Not sure why the council have told her to apply, or is that in case anything happens and she is in the system?

It would depend on a few factors. How much the rent is and whether the property has more bedrooms than she needs for her situation, whether she has kids, whether she has health conditions which prevent her or limit her working full time, whether she has savings over 6k etc. Without this information it's impossible to say but the turn to Us calculator is generally fairly accurate so if information has been correctly it may be correct. If she has kids then I would say she would be pretty much certain to get some UC on that wage.
