How did you know you were in love or falling in love with your partner?

I'm pretty sure I'm falling in love , I find myself listening to love songs thinking of him, he's on my mind constantly, I see things out in shops that he might like, I want to see him all the time, even 2 days without seeing him feels like ages.
I get butterflies before I know I'm going to see him. I want to talk about him all the time. The thought of him seeing someone else really hurts.
For context , we are both in our 40s and have only been seeing each other a couple of months. I thought this was the stuff of teenagers not people in their 40s! I'm not complaining, it's lovely. It feels like I've been put under a spell.
How did you know you were in love or loved your partner ? What were the first clues?

In my case, I hate talking on the phone, but he rang me the day after we met, we talked for about 40 minutes - I never do this, even with my best friends, and I'd only met him the day before.

He probably should have realised and run off at that point tbh 😂

You're in lust at the moment. Love comes later, it's something that grows.
