Anyone with babies/young children looking to be that 'village' for each other?

Hi,

I have a 15 month old daughter and do not have the 'village' that most people talk about.

I adore my daughter but have motherhood quite lonely and am desperate to find people who are in a similar situation to talk to and off load to.

Anyone else who is in a similar situation?

What to you do on an average week? Are you working, do you have days off midweek to take your DD to playgroups, library song / story time?
This is where you meet the other Mums if your friends and relatives either don't have kids or are too far away etc.

I work part time have Wednesday pm off and Thursday and Friday off.

I think the main issue is my partner is always working and I don't drive and where we live you'd need to drive to get to most places and the ones that I could walk to only run on Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday mornings.

I am in the process of obtaining my driving licence but there's not a lot to do if you don't drive where I live.

I'd be happy to even have other mums via a group online to just message and offload to

It will completely change your world once you get your driving licence.
Are there no parks within walking distance?
Can you get public transport anywhere? If you can get into the routine of going somewhere every Friday morning or whatever it will do you the world of good.
You have to be able to get out the house.
