Feeling discombobulated today

Last night, as I lay in bed, I could see DH laying next to me out of the corner of my eye. I asked him if he'd come to get me and he said 'not yet'. This weekend was the anniversary of his death so it was an unsettling feeling. Today, driving home, I entered and roundabout to be faced by an on coming car, thankfully the lane next to me was clear so I swerved and avoided a collision but it was a very near miss.

Oh Seawolves, that sounds upsetting. I imagine seeing DH was because the anniversary has stirred up a lot of extra thoughts and feelings. I know it has for me with my DH as it was recently the anniversary of his death too. I keep going to tell him things, then it hits me hard that he isn’t here. I’d stopped doing that for a few months until it started again recently.

The near miss is awful, very luck you could swerve. I’ve seen that happen twice recently myself, we have a lot of incomers around our area and I think they aren’t really up on roundabouts tbh. I’ve seen similar footage of HGV drivers doing the same on TikTok too.

I hope you have some support irl, it’s a difficult time but I know other people move on so quickly and forget how hard it is. Take care of yourself Flowers

I hope you are OK Seawolves. Try to take it very easy today. You sound a bit spooked.

I know it's not the same but I had a dream last night where I woke up but was still in the dream, and I could feel my baby moving. It was the first real movement i had felt and I lay there with my hand on my belly feeling little jerks and kicks for a while. Then I woke up, not pregnant and suddenly very upset to not be. I already have a family and am too old to conceive anyhow and it was so ridiculous to be upset but I've been feeling quite sad all day.

It's such a horrible feeling isn't it. Thank you both for your replies.
