If you aren't having Sunday lunch/dinner, what's today's lunch?
I'm home alone, everyone else has gone to the football.
Baked mushrooms with feta and pesto, salad freshly baked bread roll (part baked from the freezer) houmous and salad.
Delicious

We had soup I made yesterday with cheesy fresh bread from the co op 😬. Having the roast at dinner time.

obsessedwithfreshbread · 02/03/2025 13:36

We're having the new Bilash curry range from Aldi
Goan prawn curry
Hot butter chicken
Gunpowder potatoes
Popadoms and dips

Got a lot of house jobs to get done today so will just throw that in the oven later

It's Italy week at Lidls, so I've just had a mortadella, provolone and rocket sandwich. It was delicious!

We've just been to Costco, so it's a rotisserie chicken with fresh baguette and salads.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 02/03/2025 14:19

Chicken tikka masala and rice 🥰

The roast is an inexplicable UK institution to me — as in, the taste never seems to me to explain its central position in people’s hearts. We always have avocado toast made with lots of chillies and feta on good bread as a late breakfast/brunch on Sundays.

Ilovelurchers · 02/03/2025 14:42

Mine is roast of a sort but not the most traditional Sunday one I don't think - honey glazed gammon with pineapple, dauphinoise potatoes, glazed carrots, creamed spinach for me and peas for my partner (I hate peas and he hates spinach). And I made some Welsh cakes for pudding.

That sounds delicious, this is the sort of dish I'd make if I was doing "a Sunday Roast"

A beef hotpot (basically beef stew with layered potatoes on top)

LadeedahYadaYada · 02/03/2025 20:42

truffle risotto out of a pack

EndorsingPRActice · 02/03/2025 20:45

I had a pot of tea and slice of delicious lemon and elderflower cake for lunch at a cafe after a lovely walk. Then we had roast tenderloin, stuffing, baked potatoes, carrot and parsnip mash, broccoli and gravy for dinner. I am currently feeling pleasantly well fed.

rainbowunicorn · 02/03/2025 20:47

Lunch was a crumpet and a packet of skips. Dinner was steak pie and mash.

purplehair1 · 02/03/2025 21:25

We were out on a massive walk and took sandwiches of ciabatta from the bakery with mozzarella, olives, tomatoes, chorizo (&some other sliced meat) with some rocket and pesto. Deeelish.

sprigatito · 02/03/2025 21:28

I had a slice of tiger bread with butter and salmon paste for lunch, I was gardening all day and didn't want to stop. Made up for it with a huge Chinese takeaway for dinner.

NewMrsF · 02/03/2025 21:36

We have scrambled egg every Sunday (mine on a bagel with cheese and sriracha)

We had this for dinner last night, the phal nearly finished my husband off 😆
the kerelan curry was lovely though and I recommend the chicken pakora

SandieWooz · 02/03/2025 22:27

We had fish soup with crusty bread. We’re both getting over heavy colds so our appetites aren’t that good. Later on we had crunchy nut cornflakes.

GiddyRobin · 03/03/2025 00:19

We had a really nice salmon salad.

Pan fried salmon, rocket, lambs lettuce, spinach, sundried tomatoes, baby tomatoes roasted with red peppers, beetroot, cucumber, shaved carrot, peashoots, sweetcorn, black olives, crumbled raw cauliflower, and buttery new potatoes. It was delicious!

thaegumathteth · 03/03/2025 00:25

Oh let me inspire you

I had a crisp sandwich and it was delicious

RachTheAlpaca · 03/03/2025 05:50

Bag of crisps!
