The United Kingdom and France, together with Ukraine, will work on a peace plan to be presented to the U.S.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced this, adding that βone or two more countriesβ may also join the initiative. Starmer emphasized that, despite his rhetoric and stance toward Zelensky, Trump wants to see lasting peace in Ukraine.
βIf an agreement is to be reached, it must be defended. The worst possible outcome would be a temporary pause, only for Putin to return. We must ensure that this is a long-term agreement, not just a brief pause,β Starmer stated.
Slovak Prime Minister Fico demands a decision on resuming Russian gas transit through Ukraine at the March 6 EU summit, threatening to block the summitβs conclusions otherwise.
He reiterated that Slovakia will not support Ukraine βeither financially or militarily to prolong the warβ and claimed that Kyiv βwill never be strong enough to negotiate from a position of military strength.β
βοΈIAEA Observers Rotated at Zaporizhzhia NPP via Russian-Occupied Territories Without Ukraineβs Consent
Ukraineβs Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a note of protest to the IAEA leadership, condemning the violation of Ukraineβs sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Kyiv had proposed a safe and legal rotation route, but Moscow refused to guarantee the safety of IAEA personnel if they used it. As a result, the rotation was delayed by 80 days.

Zelensky has arrived at the summit in London dedicated to Ukraine. Macron, Meloni, Scholz, and other European leaders have also already arrived
Trumpβs national security adviser, Mike Waltz, stated that the U.S. needs a Ukrainian leader who is ready to ensure a lasting peace with Russiaβ and it remains unclear whether Volodymyr Zelensky is prepared for that.
When asked whether Trump wants Zelensky to resign, Waltz responded:
βIf it becomes clear that President Zelenskyβs personal or political motives diverge from his commitment to ending hostilities in his country, then I think we have a real problem.β
Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson suggested that Ukraine might need a different leader if Zelensky fails to meet U.S. demands.
π¬π§British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the UK government will provide Ukraine with approximately $2 billion through the UK Export Finance program to purchase over 5,000 air defense missiles.
Keir Starmer outlined four key points that world leaders agreed upon at the London summit:
βΌοΈ Continue providing military assistance to Ukraine as long as the war persists and increase economic pressure on Russia.
βΌοΈ Any lasting peace must ensure Ukraineβs sovereignty and security. Ukraine must be at the table in any peace negotiations.
βΌοΈ In the event of a peace agreement, European leaders will work to deter any future Russian invasion of Ukraine.
βΌοΈ A βcoalition of the willingβ will be established to protect Ukraine and guarantee peace in the country.
π¨πΏCzech volunteers raised β¬2.8 million for a Black Hawk military helicopter for Ukraine
The Czech initiative βA Gift for Putinβ began collecting funds for the helicopter in November 2023, but the campaign significantly slowed down after a few months. Organizers attribute this to pressure from individuals claiming that Ukraine does not need this helicopter.
After discussing the matter with representatives of Ukraineβs military intelligence (HUR), the volunteers decided to try to complete the fundraiser. Eventually, they found a helicopter outside Europe that is slightly cheaper and newer than the one they initially planned to purchase.

Tragedy at the Training Ground: Ukrainian Ground Forces Unit Hit by a Missile on March 1
There are casualties and injuries following a missile strike on a Ukrainian Ground Forces unit.
Commander of the βKhortytsiaβ Operational-Strategic Group, Mykhailo Drapaty, stated that βwe are witnessing untimely decisions and unlearned lessonsβ and assured that he is personally overseeing the investigation. Authorities are currently verifying details and establishing the circumstances of the incident.
Journalist Yuriy Butusov reported that Russians struck a training ground in Dnipropetrovsk region with a missile, killing over 30 people and injuring 130 others. According to him, the 168th Reserve Battalion was stationed at the site, with nearly all soldiers being those who had returned from SZCH (self-sustained combat missions).
Blogger and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko claimed that a Russian reconnaissance drone corrected the strike.
Russiaβs Defense Ministry stated that an Iskander-M missile system targeted what it alleged were locations of Ukraineβs 157th Mechanized Brigade.
*Over the past week, Russia has launched more than 1,050 attack drones, nearly 1,300 aerial bombs, and over 20 missiles at Ukraine.
Approximately 620,000 Russian troops are stationed in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russiaβs Kursk region, according to Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of Ukraineβs Defense Intelligence (HUR).*
Over 200,000 of them are assault units actively engaged in combat. 35,000 troops from the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) are responsible for securing key facilities and enforcing the occupation regime.
Skibitskyi noted that Russia has no issues replenishing its forces, as recruitment targets for January were exceeded by 107%.
Currently, Moscowβs priority areas are Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, and Kupiansk.
Trump stated on his Truth Social platform that he is the only U.S. president who has not given any Ukrainian territory to Putinβs Russia.
In a separate post, he wrote that βtomorrow night will be big,β without providing further details.
πΊπ¦π¬π§ Zelensky spoke with Ukrainian and British press following the London summit. Hereβs what he said:
βΌοΈ The best security guarantees are a strong Ukrainian army, NATO membership, and a foreign military presence in Ukraine. The presence of the U.S. in this contingent is crucial.
βΌοΈ The U.S. and Europe are Ukraineβs strategic partners. Many agreements have been reached among European allies. In the coming weeks, countries will announce them once there is a clear framework for Ukraineβs security guarantees.
βΌοΈ Kyiv will never recognize occupied territories as Russian. Dividing land by force is not a peace agreement but a risk of another Russian invasion. A ceasefire cannot be effectively controlled.
βΌοΈ Ukraine and the U.S. have strong partnership ties that have strengthened since the full-scale war began. Relations with Trump can be rebuilt constructively. The Oval Office incident did not bring any positives. Ukraine deserves an equal dialogue.
βIt is wrong that the question of ending the war is dictated by an unknown strategy,β Zelensky said regarding U.S. actions. He added that softer rhetoric from the U.S. will not make Putin more flexible.
βΌοΈ The minerals agreement is ready. It can be signed by ministers, but the U.S. may need time to finalize a decision.
βΌοΈ Ukraine is grateful to the UK for its support, including to King Charles III.
Photos hopefully to follow!
