9 year old dd preforming at school talent show, what song will go down best?

Her choices:
-Oh Darling -the Beatles
-Killer Queen -Queen (is this appropriate?)
-When he sees me - Waitress musical
-Space Oddity -David Bowie
-You'll be back - Hamilton

Because they are vocally possible for a 9 yo to sing, without ending up looking foolish in front of their peers.
Killer Queen and Space Oddity are vocally challenging. I am assuming the child is not having singing lessons, otherwise the teacher would have suggested something.

Dd goes to a saturday theatre school.
She has a great voice but her strength is in preforming and is wanting the song to be something slightly funny/dramatic where she can act alongside side singing.
So something like Reflections - Mulan isn't what she's looking for.

What about one of the songs from Six?
They can be funny/dramatic if she chooses to take it that way.

In that case I think the suggestion of Bjork 'oh so quiet' is a good one

Best talent show performance ever. From the movie fist fight

Musical Theatre stuff from the top of my head.
Good Morning Baltimore or something like She’s Got Cooties from Hairspray
Time to Play from School of Rock
I know it’s today from Shrek the Musical
Almost Nearly Perfect from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
oh the things you can think or one of the other character songs from Seussical.

The reason people suggest Disney is that it’s appropriate for voices of that age. Other songs are available - it’s just there’s a good range! What you don’t want to be doing is singing songs written for adult males! The voices are completely different.

How about Popular from Wicked?

If she likes musical theatre and wants to act out something funny there is Show Off from the Drowsy Chaperone. Starts off saying 'I don't wanna show off no more' and then basically proceeds to do just that! Which might be good for a talent contest.

My DD did it for her agent showcase at the conservatoire and it brought the house down. It's a great song that allows you to insert snippets of all the things you can do well and can be tweaked to fit your daughter's talents. Best if she has an accompanist though.

I think there are a couple lines that might be inappropriate but it's only 'make the gentlemen hoot no more' and ' play the saucy swiss miss no more' which she could change.

Slipknot will be a definite crowd-pleaser.
