What's your interior design style?

Does your home resemble a centre spread straight out of Country Living, or is it more student chic?
We've lived in our house for just over 7 years and it's time for changes.
We've got decorators booked in for next week, and whilst that's happening, we are going to take a long, hard look at what can go, and things that actually need replacing.
We've got a mix of inherited mid-century pieces, sofas and rugs from Heal's and a couple of IKEA bits too.
Nothing's matchy-matchy in here!
Just wondering how some homes look so effortlessly stylish.

Mine is mixey matchy, old furniture I've painted to tie things together, heirlooms and some pieces that I've made. I love it to bits.

My interior design style is classic/traditional. We own a Victorian terraced house, so we stick to the style that suits it best.

We have original features e.g. hardwood floor in the hallway and a cast iron fireplace in the lounge etc.

It our first house, which we bought a year and a half ago. We had rented previously, so we have been taking our time with buying antique furniture from FB Marketplace. We have most of what we need now.

There’s always work to be done, though. We desperately need a new staircase though as ours is a death trap! Again, I’d want the new staircase to tie in with the classic/traditional style of the property.

I have a late 60s house so have leaned into that.

Plants, macrame, orange and yellow, lava lamps, home made art and I light plenty of incense.

We live in a 400 year old cottage. Renovated fully to a modern country style around 8 years ago using lots of inspo from Instagram.

You and me. both! Plus my walls are full of art work! Wouldn't swap it for anything!

We like the scandi look with lots of modern ' retro look' touches

Mine is traditional farmhouse decor meets slightly scruffy European arty vibe. A cream in-frame fitted kitchen with an Aga, a free standing island and scrubbed pine dining table matched with colourful rugs and artwork, lots of plants, wooden ceiling beams and huge brick fireplaces. Our sofas are brown leather, with tartan throws and sheepskin rugs. A bit of a mish mash but it works for us 🥰

I love hearing about everyone else’s too!
