My watch has stopped telling me about phone calls and messages

It’s a huawei honour band (at least a few years old)

its synched with the app in that my exercise info is uploading, but it has suddenly stopped vibrating to let me know I have a call or message.

I have tried re pairing the two and reinstalled the app with no effect.

is there anything else I can try?

Turn your phone off and back on again?
This sometimes happens with my Garmin. Restarting my phone seems to sort it out.

I have a huawei too

Have you accidentally turned it off in notifications?

I think you can enable notifications two way, ie on the watch and the phone.

Are you forgetting to wind it up?

Thanks for the suggestions, I have turned the phone off and on and that hasn’t worked.

@Iamblossom i think I’ve got notifications turned on in the app settings, is there anywhere else I should be checking?

In my Huawei Health app on my phone (also a Huawei, my sister worked there and I got freebies 😂) if you click into Device and the Device itself you can see if Notifications are enabled - I think you have said you have done this already?

Other than that check the notifications you have got enabled on your phone itself?

I feel your pain, my phone is always on silent so I only know if I am getting a phone call if my watch tells me....

thanks to everyone who’s helped especially @Iamblossom

the only thing which worked was to let the watch power off and then back on again. Easier said than done because it doesn’t have an off/on switch and only shuts down when it’s out of battery or overheats. So I took it into the sauna with me 😁

hopefully that’s done the trick now
