Morning sickness - options with work

morning I’d really appreciate anyone’s help I have an intense corporate job and pregnant with dc2. DC1 was still in the wfh era and I had reasonably bad morning sickness and spent a lot of time working with a sick bin under my desk to vomit in.

I don’t want to do that again - also I actually feel more exhausted now (maybe I’m older?).

Currently on 6 weeks and felt nausea all last week at week 5, but I’ve started physically vomiting this week. I’m exhausted already and scared it’s going to get worse between now and week 4 when it subsided for me previously.

in reality I could wfh again, but I get by at work by doing excess hours and working hard. Neither of which I will be able to do with this sickness.

does anyone have experience please? Should I tell my manager? Get a note from the GP? I’m inclined to say yes or that I need a week holiday for the worst week. But in reality it may be bumpy for the next few weeks, and also I am actually sick. My job is really intense for the next 2 months with multiple deadlines and I am already not keeping up. I had a couple days of last week sick for the nausea.

please help with any suggestions or experience. Maybe it won’t get worse, but in reality it will based on before and based on the fact I have already been physically vomitting.

sorry I know it will be obvious to people but blimey I feel unwell, and my job is tough

Definitely tell your manager if you're taking sick days for this. Make sure it's recorded as pregnancy related sickness.

I'd recommend a note from the GP saying you're fit to work from home, if you think that's do-able?

Oh and medication. It might make you sleepy at first but that wore off pretty quickly for me.
