posting for a friend please! My friend lost her Ex, the father of her 3 kids tragic road accident, he didn’t have a Will, he has another DD from a previous marriage. who is 30yrs.
In past the ex had told her that his private pension which he had started receiving (no cash lump sum) would go to their 3 kids as beneficiaries upon his death and his estate would be used to pay CM that he has been paying, and would have to be shared equally between his 4 kids.
Her question is would the pension to the kids be paid to her or the daughter?
The daughter has said she will process the funds and open an account for the children and manage it herself until the children are adults.
She has refused to discuss any money that the ex had or anything. My friend works too but they were sharing the children 50/50.
would the pension provider speak to her as the mother of the kids or only the ex’s daughter as she is the NOK.
what can she do in this situation.
