I live Wordle and have just discovered Spelling Bee.
I'm not clear on how it works..

Are you aiming for a specific amount of words?
Is there a 7 letter word there?

You are trying to find as many as possible longer than 4 letters. Letters can be used multiple times.

If you have the free version, it does cut off though. You need the subscription for the full game.

You are trying to find as many words as possible and get as high a score as possible. longer words score higher. DH and I compete to see who gets to genius first, then we combine and use hints to get queen bee. We are subscribed to NYT, unless you are you can only play a limited version.

How do you get to Genius?

I've found 14 words today so far.

There will be at least one word that uses all the letters, although it doesn't have to be seven, it can be longer, and there might be more than one.

My tip, if you have an E and a D or an I,N,G, that increases the number of words you can find!

Click on the yellow line with the dots at the top of the screen and it will tell you how far you have to go to genius. Your current score is at the right hand end of that line. I’ve got 41 words and 164 points, genius is 159 today. It changes every day, yesterday there were only 20 possible words. Practice really helps. If you look at the hints that will tell you how many possible words there are, which letter they start with and how long they are. Venture into the comments and you’ll find a clue for each possible word. We don’t look at those until we are completely stuck.

Also, be prepared to say “that’s not a word” at least once a day and “that is a word” even more, remember it’s American. Honor gets me every time.
