Yes, yes and more yes. ANYTHING to get me out of the shit hole that is the world at the moment. Would like to take DH along though - he's definitely up for it.

He wasn't completely a hermit. He did a bit of ecological tour guiding in the summer months and then quietly listened to the sound of the waves on the pink beach seashore, the squeekings of birds and the rumbles of wild pigs up in the woods during the winter. I think I might quite like it and be rather good at it.

Go for it, Pebbles and DH! He even had internet connection in the later years, so what would you both be giving up? In the event of a medical emergency, the Italian government would probably send a helicopter to you so you'd be better off anyway.

I guess if you're happy to be exposed to mob smuggling, pirates and all the other stuff that goes on where no one can see or gives a shit.
