Autism help toddler

Hi, I believe my toddler has quite a few very obvious traits for autism. LO has just turned 2 YO. At his 2 YO the HV said he had quite a few sensory processing traits.

i was recently referred to children’s paediatric unit at the hospital for food issues and the doctor there started asking questions and said it looked like he had quite a few obvious indicators for autism. So to give this context I don’t think it’s all in my head, I can tell LO is slightly different. I wasn’t even there to discuss autism.

the speech is also delayed. He makes noises but doesn’t really say words. I think a) he may be autistic and b) I’m concerned he might be non verbal. He babbles a lot but no words. Is this how it usually begins for non verbal or would he not babble at all?

i really, really need help, I don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere and I just want to help and support as much as I can.

has anyone experienced this at a young age? Are there any books to educate myself on, has anyone found any helpful resources?

the HV referred me and he got denied as he’s so young, and now he’s been referred AGAIN by the GP from strong recommendation from a paediatric neurologist.

i have tried looking for specific groups on here for autism and can’t seem to find any. I did post in one group but got no response, can someone point me in the right direction of where I may find these groups? (How to find it, new ish to MN).

sorry for the grammatical errors and general sentences arw all over the place, I’ve also got a newborn and my head is scrambled egg. But you get the jist. Thank you
