I'm renewing all of our passports at the moment - thought I'd remind all those travelling this summer to...

a) know where your passport is and
b) check the issue date is not more than 10 years ago

Life gets in the way and sometimes we forget the minor but important details

I would add check the validity rules for the country you are travelling too. The 3 month thing is fir the EU not worldwide.

The '10 years from issue' date and expiry dates being different seems to have caused confusion, on top of the 'needing to have 3, or 6 months left on your passport.

The 10 year validity is only for EU too
