Maths puzzle book recs (Y5)

I have a Y4 child who's very good at Maths - not a genius but very quick and understands mathematical concepts intuitively. He whizzed through the Usborne Maths and logic puzzle books and is looking for something else - doesn't necessarily need to be fun, he likes the dry stuff too! I've put Y5 in the title as he's currently enjoying a Y5 one we had from WH Smith (photo attached).

Can anyone recommend any specific books or ranges please? Doesn't just have to be Maths - could also include grammar, spellings, logic etc.

(I know they're logic puzzles but we tried the Junior Murdle book, and realy didn't rate it!)

You could look at Shanghai Maths Project books, they are aligned by National Curriculum year but are more challenging. We used those for a few years before moving DS on 11+ prep books.

You could look generally at CGP books too?

Oh those look good @yoshiblue, thank you! (Although I note there are reviewers complaining that no answers are included 😁)

They were fine to work out, are answers available online?

Well exactly - I'm hopeful I can work the answers out myself!
