Pramipexole; Anyone on this?

I have severe Restless legs... myoclonic jerks. GP has prescribed this, but the list of side effects is actually concerning (I don't usually worry about side effects!) including impulsive/dangerous behaviours, hallucinations and worsening symptoms of u ncontrolled movements!
It's putting me off a bit !!
If anyone has first hand experience of this med.. please tell me!

yes I am on it for restless legs. I need to take it early evening otherwise it gives me a ‘hangover’ in the morning ie I feel a bit dopey. I only take one 0.088 tablet although I was prescribed two. If you’re worried about side effects speak to your pharmacist about maybe starting on a lower dose. It definitely helps a lot though with the restless legs. So does dancing though / not joking here - when I am doing a couple of dance classes a week I have a lot less trouble with my legs!

I'm on 2-3 per day and none of the side effects you've described

I had it & turned into a compulsive gambler £25k in debt. If you have the slightest addictions it turns them up to full volume, gambling, sex & alcohol are the biggest ones. I stopped taking it & my gambling stopped within months, I now use high dose magnesium, Vitamin D & painkillers for my restless legs.
