Does anyone remember this book from the 1970s

I’m sure the front cover and illustrations were in autumn colours. It’s about a little girl who goes to the park, manages to fall into the pond, but is rescued by the park keeper. It’s definitely a children’s book, with more pictures than text.

I’ve probably made it sound like a grim near-drowning incident (!) but it was actually a lovely story about the kindness of strangers. I remember reading it several times in the local library when I was at primary school, but as I can’t remember the title, I’ve never found it since.

The only thing that springs to mind right now would be possibly something in the Percy the Park keeper series. Its not my era, but my younger sibling read a few of the books.

Thank you for replying. Someone at work suggested Percy the Park Keeper, but when I checked out the series, the books are all about his animal friends at the park.

Could it be one of the books by Dick Bruna that wasn't about Miffy?

The name Suki came to mind but I couldn't see a book called that, but I saw Snuffy and wondered if Suki was the girl in that?

Not at all confident though.

I had a ladybird book with this illustration. Think might just have been called The Park or go to the park or something

Thank you but it’s not any of the above suggestions
