what happens if you never work

if you have never worked because of a disability and therefore haven't made any national insurance contributions and then you get to retirement age (I'm far away from retirement age) what happens then, since you're not entitled to a state pension? Do you just have to solely live off PIP

If registered with a disability you may get pension credits automatically.

Depending on which benefits you are on, you may get national insurance credits.
