What is your longest time in a phone queue?

I have been holding now for 67 minutes - I am currently number one, but the time has rolled into lunch and I have an appointment in 25 minutes. I am very bored and wondered what is the longest time anyone has been held in a queue.

HMCTS do this too. Worse still quite often you get through to someone with no access to anything and no ability to do anything including put you through to someone who can check the file.

Normally they tell you to email, but you're calling because they haven't dealt with your previous three emails and now the hearing you are calling about in less than 24 hours away.

Yes, I had the misfortune to have to call them recently. 50 minutes waiting then got through to someone who didn’t know the answer to my question so said they would put me on hold whilst they found out. Instead put me back to the beginning for another hour waiting. Then answered by someone else who didn’t know the answer.
I gave up at that point.

I long for the days when it just rang until it was answered, not "answered" then on hold for hours...

I rang back and have now been in the queue for 1 hour 49 minutes - I think they must all be on a break as I have been number 4 in the queue for an inordinately long amount of time. I have work to do but the ringing interspersed with recorded messages means that it is impossible to do anything that requires concentration.

Having to call Tui on the day new covid restrictions were announced. I was on hold for over 300 minutes, and then got transferred to another department ....200 minute hold time. They were both lovely luckily

90 minutes when I banked with Smile

Sadly it is a regular feature of my job. It is incredibly wasteful of both court time and our time.

4 hours with Lufthansa when they tried to route our Manchester to Munich flight via Lisbon. Got through and the man said he could help but needed to put me on hold for a minute - guess what?
Yep, got cut off.
We ended up just sorting an alternative ourselves and fighting for around 6 months for a refund

SAGE Technical Support is a good one if you want to waste your life, i think it's been best part of 2hrs on hold to them before.
HMRC make me want to throw the phone at the wall.
Talk talk made me want to commit unspeakable injuries to everyone after numerous calls, being placed on hold, cut off, redial, hold, passed around aghhhhh!!

An hour and forty five minutes... And I was still 9th in the queue when I slammed the phone down!
