Hurghada or Gran Canaria?

Hey! Was hoping for some advice...

We're looking to go away at Easter but it seems hard to find somewhere that is guaranteed nice weather without going long haul.

Egypt seems good weather (I am nervous of Egypt because the last time I went about 10 years ago I was very ill, as was my partner!)

Canaries not as warm but have found a hotel with a heated pool...

Any thoughts?

I’ve been to the Canary Islands many times, but Gran Canaria is the only island I haven’t been back to as it had the least going for it in my opinion. Tenerife is busier but a much bigger place so something for everyone. I actually have a soft spot for Lanzarote. Never been to Hurghada but don’t fancy it at all from what others have said. I’d opt for the Canaries, but not Grand Canaria.

I've never been to Egypt and to be honest don't fancy it. But have been to Gran Canaria and didn't like it. We are currently in Morro Jable in Fuerteventura and the weather is gorgeous. Pool and sea are cold but other than that would highly recommend.
