I just had potato smilies, Bernard Matthews turkey unicorns and spaghetti hoops. It was bloody lovely. Does anyone else eat meals like this every so often

Freezer tapas... generally using up what is open in the freezer on a day we are short of time or can't be bothered to cook something more nutritious!

I'm a bit weird in that I don't buy that in for my kids (not a snob but they tend to like home cooked things). But if my husband is going to be out for dinner, I go and buy alllll the frozen shit for myself and add a tin a spaghetti hoops or bean with the sausages in. It's just great once in a while

Also, a poor man's Shaksuka for breakfast... tin of beans (with the sausage in) crack and egg over it, sprinkle some cheese and whack in the microwave. Such a good breakfast if hungover. Oh and sriracha

I know it's nothing like shaksuka but I tell myself it's basically the same thing

Fish finger sandwiches with brown sauce for me. My kids don’t like fishfingers so I buy them just for me. Only when on special offer fishfingers are so expensive now.

Why only when your husband is out?

YesHonestly · 17/02/2025 19:06

Mini chicken kievs and super noodles 👌

Crabwoman · 17/02/2025 19:09

Hot dogs for me. Ones sold in a jar with cheap white hot dog rolls. Ketchup, and if im feeling adventurous, a bit of mustard.

Bloody love them - salty, porky, smoky with a good snap. God knows what is on them.

I have them when the kids and DH are out. They won't touch them.

BitOutOfPractice · 17/02/2025 19:15

Speaking as someone who has turned into a protein wanker is trying to eat super healthy at the moment can I just say I WANT ALL OF THESE KID TEAS NOW!

I just know the dinner I have planned is just not going to cut it now.

VividLilac · 18/02/2025 13:20

A cheeky pot noodle when home alone and can’t be bothered cooking.

@whatcanthematterbe81

yeah, why only when your husband is out?

whatcanthematterbe81 · 18/02/2025 13:35

@LuckySantangelo35 because he doesn't like that kind of food and I like to eat with him. Is that ok?

whatcanthematterbe81 · 18/02/2025 13:35

@Disturbia81 as below

Newbie8918 · 18/02/2025 14:00

@whatcanthematterbe81 why do people read into everything?

my brother the other day had turkey dinosaurs, in bread with ketchup 🤣

I would kill for some McCain pizza fingers right now, they were the ultimate snack, oven 10 mins done 🙂‍↔️

They still sell these in Farmfoods!

Newbie8918 · 18/02/2025 14:09

@whatcanthematterbe81 what are they looking for?
