Cot bed supplied to me with wrong parts - what are my rights after two years? [Title edited by MNHQ at OP's request]

Just taken apart DS(2) cot, to turn it into the cot bed. Had the two side panels slotted next to the wardrobe for the last two years ready in waiting.

Anyway, they are clearly the wrong parts! The shape for the fitting it different, and it’s out by 3cm on both sides for the screws and dowels. Not sure how this happened, but it was supplied to me this way.

Next are sending out a technician to check it, then they will update me with a resolution.

Anyone any ideas on my rights here? It’s been 25 months since I got it.

Title is meant to say “cot bed supplied to me” 🤦‍♀️

If they are sending a technician out then surely they are doing the right thing ?

What more do you want from this? They will either correctly build it if you are mistaken, or they will put the situation right if indeed they have supplied the wrong parts.

I suspect you have no rights. This ‘fault’ was present when you purchased the item, and you had 6 months to bring it to the retailer’s attention. Unfortunately, you’ve left it far too late.

I’m just wondering what my rights are, as I said above. Not assuming they won’t do the right thing here, but I’m mindful it is a two year old purchase.

Did it come with a warranty?
