I recently got an iPhone, then last month I got a Mac mini (the desktop version) and at first it was brilliant, If I got an iMessage or text I would get a pop up notification on my Mac and I could reply, I would see all the same messages as I did on my iPhone.
Now messages (actually everything not just messages, so whatsapp, email etc) are not coming through to my Mac at all. Same goes for pictures in my gallery.. If I took a picture with my iPhone it would sync to the gallery on my Mac and now it doesn't.
I googled it and lots of people said I probably needed to do an update on the Mac. Was also told to go to messages on my phone and on my Mac and hit the sync button. I have done this and even resorted to factory resetting it.
Now if I get any form of message I have to open message app then hit settings then go to iCloud and sync now, Then the messages will show on Mac, As soon as I reply they stop coming through again and I have to go and sync them again. Same with gallery, I have to sync it every time then the pictures will show.
All this used to just happen automatically and it just suddenly stopped.
Going through settings sync is on for messages on both iPhones and Mac, receive texts on Mac is on, no software update needed, Do to disturb is off, focus is off. so I'm a bit lost.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?
