Last time I traveled abroad I paid for data roaming but then now somebody said that I should have had an e SIM . How is an E SIM any better than paying a fixed amount for data roaming to last for however many days you're abroad

It can be a lot cheaper so it's worth checking. We were in NZ and Singapore last year and NZ was included totally within my tariff and Singapore was £6 per day. We were there for 4 days and an eSIM was £15 so cheaper to use the eSIM.

I used airalo a few times. A teeny bit complicated to work out but not very difficult. Your phone needs to support esims. (google if it does)
