Quick cats for feet question.

If you for some reason you had cats for feet would you move your original legs to walk, or rely on the cat-feet feet to do it all? Maybe a combination of both? And would you need to feed the cat feet individually or would they take all they need from your body's systems?

Asking for a friend.

If I didn't need to go anywhere quickly I would let the cats propel me but if a bit of speed was needed I would use my legs as well.

BUT how do you get the cats to walk in the direction you want them to?, what if they go in opposite directions to each other? How does it work when they are asleep do they essentially become fluffy slippers and you can walk normally?

EyesFlowers · 15/02/2025 23:37

Has wine been involved in your evening?

I would think the cats would need feeding separately from me.

Gosh, hitting the weed early this half term. Slow your roll, you've got a whole week to get through you know...

Cats are shitbags. They would do the opposite of what you want them to do, so you would need to use your legs and hope the cats would be too busy walking in the opposite direction to rip your legs to shreds!

RaspberryScrubs · 15/02/2025 23:40

Do you mean cat feet, or an animal attached to each sole?

Mysterian · 15/02/2025 23:44

I imagine your feet would 'enter' the cat just in front of it's tail. It would mean you had 8 feet. I assume you would have full control of the cats.

I reckon big legs for big walking and cat feet for fine stuff and walking on walls.

Have you ever met a cat?Confused

Wordsmithery · 15/02/2025 23:47

The cat feet would guide your legs. However, cats being contrary creatures, each cat foot would go in a different direction so you'd find yourself doing the splits pretty quickly. Also you might get mangled when 1, 2, 3 or 4 of your cat feet decide to go through the cat door.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 15/02/2025 23:48

As somebody with a cat that regularly sits on the floor and then promptly falls off it, you'd be better off opting for snakes as feet. It would be far safer.

Have you been watching/listening to/reading Richard Herring?

JustJoinedRightNow · 15/02/2025 23:50

My cat feet would be turning around biting my real feet if my little cat now is anything to go by. She would not take kindly to being used as shoes

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/02/2025 23:51

The only reliable thing that cats always do is the opposite to whatever you want them to do.

You would be in full control of the cat feet in the same way as you control your current everyday feet now. (Assuming there are no cat-footed Mumsnetters).

When you say cats do you mean domesticated cats or will any feline do?
I think I would need jaguars at least to bear my weight.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/02/2025 23:55

A pair of certainly couldn't carry a human, so you'd need a lot of very large helium balloons to support most of your weight

Or eagles for hands.

I'd be in need of a couple of loadbearing male Ligers.

So I'd be ten foot tall with four inch long claws. Which might be a trifle inconvenient when wearing tights - and could prove problematic when at the salon for a pedicure.

Mysterian · 16/02/2025 00:05

You're right. The size of cats needed would make it very impracticable. Just have to hope it never happens. I'll avoid being rude to any mysterious wizened old ladies wearing all black that I find in the woods from now on.

Again there's a scale problem, you'd need a few and coordinating eagles and cats would be difficult. Especially as each might be wondering if the other is it's dinner.
