Blood tests at a pharmacy

Hi, has anyone ever paid for a blood test at a local pharmacy rather than waiting weeks for gp to sort one out. I would like to check mine again but there are a variety of options so currently debating which one to go for/if I should just wait for one through the gp that I will likely have to take time off for.

Thanks for replying. I think my question was - are they the same/as good as the test done through the GP or might I be wasting my money?
