Unfortunate celebrity/public figure lookalikes

I've just realised that JD Vance is the absolute dead spit of my dad at the same age. When he's with Atlas the German Shepherd the double doppelganger effect of Vance/Atlas, our dog/dad is quite uncanny. I'm going to lie down quietly now. Has anything like this happened in your life? (Lighthearted.)

My dad looked like William Shatner, Captain Kirk from Star Trek when I was little, he grew into Captain Mainwaring from Dad’s Army in his later years.

My father looked like a cross between Robbie Coltrane (fine) and Bojo Johnson (definitely not fine).

My Dad looked like Bob Monkhouse.

When I was young, I looked uncannily like the famous portrait of Anne Boleyn. Of course, no one knows whether I would still resemble her when we are older…..

We lived in a scruffy council house too and my mum was a heavy smoker. When the programme started we were like ‘why’s our family on the telly?!’

My parents have both died and watching that show is just like being back with them.

My dad looked like Captain Kirk from Star Trek. I collect Star Trek toys and the figures of Captain Kirk are definitely in the majority!

DB is the spit of a younger Elvis. Everytime we go anywhere someone ( usually an older person will mention it. He has grown a beard now to reduce the comments as he doesn’t like the attention

I was told I looked like Daphne from Daphne and Celeste a few times!

This happened just after I had my first child 33 years ago - I walked around a market stall in York three times because I saw the Duchess of York (Sarah Ferguson) and she was staring at me.

I then realised that I was looking in the mirror of a hat stall.

When I was 14, I was sat waiting to play (saxophone) in a school production of Joseph and the amazing Technicolor dreamcoat as the Audience filed in.

I heard a girl behind me say 'oh look, Columbo has just walked in' I looked up and it was my dad. My parents had me in their late thirties and were considerably older than most of the other parents.

NC for this! I am a doppelganger. I look very much like Lacey Turner from Eastenders 😂. I get asked all the time if I'm Stacey. I have been asked for selfies a few times! My dc die of embarrassment every time it happens. If Lacey ever needs a body double, I'm it!
Dd's boyfriend is the absolute spit of young Tom Cruise. He really is a double. Same height, build, mannerisms, smile complete with dimples. He gets approached by women in their 40"s all the time. He hates it lol.

My sister once dyed her hair ginger and kept getting mistaken for Anne Robinson.

My dad was a ringer for Charles ingles/ micheal landon. Unfortunate for the actor as he was a horrible person, my father not the actor.

Mine too! When he used to be in TV a lot in the 80s (with the obligatory actor's voice over) I even pointed at the TV one day and said "Daddy".
My dad kept his beard though.
Later in life he looked like Donald Sutherland. A homeless guy who lived near my dad's work used to greet him with "Morning Don"!

Many (many) years ago, I used to look like Julia Roberts. Unfortunately these days I’m more likely to be mistaken for her gran.

My late FIL's doppelganger was Penfold... from Danger Mouse.

My maternal granddad looked like James Stewart and my paternal granddad looked like Ronnie Barker.

They died when I was 7 and 9 so it was nice to see people they resembled on tv.
Unfortunate due to the sadness.

Does anyone remember from about 20 years ago The Pregnant Man? My (male) cousin was the absolute double and I can’t unsee it.

My mum once fell out with a friend because she told her she looked like Eileen from Corrie (this was in Eileen’s less glamorous days, Sue Cleaver is a lovely looking woman but at one point Eileen was v drab). I shook my head in sympathy but secretly thought “OMFG YES YOU DO!”

My Dad looked like Buddy Holly, he even had the same glasses.

Now I’ve got “ooh wee hoo, I look just like Buddy Holly” stuck in my head!
