Your ideal night alone

Reputationtv · 15/02/2025 16:55

I have a night in alone, no jobs left to do for the day. My weekends are usually not spent at home so I’m really looking forward to being cosy and in comfort. Please advise me on what to do because I’m a bit uninspired. About to pop the shops so comfort food suggestions are very much appreciated as well as film/ series or activities recommendations.

what’s your perfect night in?

A good Indian takeaway plus a great box at!! Have you seen Miss Austen yet? I think it's on iplayer. About Jane Austen and her sister Cassandra. Heavily recommended.

For me it's crackers cheese and meats

Cheese puffs!

Bottle of flavoured fizzy water.

Nice long bath and fresh PJs and settle down to watch some box set I've missed and everyone's talking about or to read.

Bonus if I have my heated throw on (my age means this is sometimes less than comfortable 🥵😂)

When I have time to just be I often flit about and just enjoy flirting aimlessly as that's something I don't often have time for 😂

McCain's naked oven chips or chopped actual potatoes with houmous (dinner is served)
Or peanut butter on toast
(I chop and roast and bake and blend all the time do if it was just me it would be vety very very low effort)

I would get a small heat up pudding (sticky toffee?) with vanilla ice cream

And watch a girlie movie (I am the sole female here and the eye rolling to put Barbie on, which they all fucking enjoyed)

I would have a bath early, pyjamas on, doors locked curtains closed before all this.

Eat downstairs with tv on.

Then go to bed early-ish with a decent white wine and watch film in bed, then read.

Huge bowl of pasta, wine, chocolate and comfort trash tv my husband wouldn’t watch.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 15/02/2025 17:12

Malteasers or toffee butterkist popcorn.

A good series or movie (I recently really enjoyed Players on Netflix, and am making my way through Lucifer as a result due to Tom Ellis fever - both are good!)

Face mask/nails/skincare if that's your thing?

Longggg hot shower whilst listening to music?

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 15/02/2025 17:24

Wine, making homemade pasta with bolognese whilst listening to a new album.

Then binging eastenders whilst I eat 🤭

mondaytosunday · 15/02/2025 17:53

Takeaway, nice wine and a few movies/series to binge watch.

I love a night alone, I always eat shit loads of Vietnamese food because I love it but husband hates it, then make myself a blanket nest on the sofa, play a cosy game like Unpacking or House Flipper or something, have some prosecco or wine, maybe do some chill crafts or a jigsaw, then absolutely fucking starfish in the bed like a whale dropped from space while I have the room to do so.

JG24 · 15/02/2025 17:56

Cheese, wine, bread,
Long long shower (would be a bath but we don't have one), clean lovely pyjamas, fire on and a boxset

InTheWild · 15/02/2025 18:49

I’d probably order a posh takeaway, then have some chocolate treats or a decadent pudding, grab the duvet and sink into the sofa whilst watching Korean dramas on Netflix 😄

okydokethen · 15/02/2025 18:53

Chinese food because my DH doesn't eat it alongside something he wouldn't want to watch on Netflix.
