Heel sores

I got a new pair of DMs. I was too ambitious and wore them for several hours on the first day. Got sore heels so put those heel protector things on them. Which then pulled huge chunks of skin off both heels!

How do i get my heels to heal as quickly as possible? Creams? Plasters? Air exposure? (I have put them new DMs to one side until the skin has grown back).

I was once told by a Dr that Vaseline is the magic stuff for all (non infected) wound healing. Used it ever since and it is true.

Smear it on under a plaster or bandage while it’s raw and let some air get to it in the evening when you’re sat down. Keep applying it after the plaster stage.

those translucent wound plasters, like blister plasters but bigger. leave them on until they fall off themselves. you can shower with them on.

I reckon that's what I put on, but ripped them off after an afternoon! Lesson learnt!

I have done the vaseline. Thanks!
