Doorbells-the most exiting thread on mumsnet….!!

What brand of video doorbell do you have and would you recommend it?

I currently have a Ring, but it needs a new battery which will cost about £25-£30, and the subscription is almost due, so that’s another £50 a year.

Im looking at replacing it with a non subscription one, so would value any opinions…please!!

We have a Reolink doorbell. No subscription! DH is very techy and we have a server in the loft whereas Ring goes to the 'cloud'.
TBH, I have no idea about these things but thankfully, he does 😬
Eufy do them too, but not sure if they have a subscription.

Oh, I've got a ring doorbell, but I've got a ring camera in each of the rooms as well (to keep an eye on autistic dd5 when I'm cooking etc)

Edit, plus I can view any room on the alexa device in the kitchen

For the 5 cameras I have, the subscription is worth it, although i have been wondering about who can access our recordings 😬

I bought an extra battery for the doorbell for around £20 on amazon x

We have a Eufy and it is brilliant. Great picture and sound quality but no subscription charges to pay.

Thanks it’s the Eufy I’m leaning towards due to it being non subscription
