Christening gifts

Hello!

Boring old thread I'm afraid, but DS is about to be made a godfather and has no idea what to buy as a gift. He's young himself (21) so would like something maybe a bit different rather than a traditional gift.

He's gaining a little godson, Dad is DS's best friend. Any ideas of something he could buy? He's a student so budget is limited at about £50ish

I haven't been to a christening for years, back then everyone bought first curl/teeth pots!

Thanks!

We always get books as Christening gifts. I try and get a nice hard back set like the Winnie the Pooh or Beatrix Potter collections.

A nice children's bible - the Jesus Storybook Bible is beautifully written and illustrated.

Have a look at the royal mint, £50 will get something. The 'hello Little One My First Coin Set' is £39.50.

The coins will gain value as the only 2025 coins in circulation are the 50p and the £1.

I got my nieces and nephews a 1/2 sovereign a few years ago, they are worth much more now than when I bought them.

I know I keep recommending coins, I do not work for the mint, I have just given coins a few times as a present.
