Vinted parcel not collected yet…

Wonder if anyone can be advise me? I sold a parcel on vinted. The vinted app tells me it arrived at the destination on the 7th February, but it has not been collected yet. Where do I stand on this? Can I ask Vinted to pay me the money? If so, when?

It depends on what carrier. And have you had any correspondence with the buyer?

isn’t collected it will be sent back to you and the buyer will get their money back

If it's inpost they only have 3 days to collect it before it's returned to you. Not sure about the other carriers. I think Evri gives longer so maybe the other carriers do too? I would imagine if they don't get it soon you will get it back direct to your door.

Well I would have messaged the buyer to remind them or just to see if they’re even going to collect . But at this point I’d probably expect it to wing its way back to me.

The Evri parcelshops allow up to 10 days to collect, so if you sent it there then it's well within the time period allowed to collect and won't be sent back yet. Inpost lockers only allow 3 days, so it would be best to send there if you want the payment quicker.

They may be on holiday if they know they have 10 days to collect if they do, I have ordered stuff from shops to collect after holiday if it was a one off or in the sale.

Evri or Yodel allow longer.

I sometimes can't/don't prioritise collect straight away. Vinted sends reminders.

If it's not collected it will be returned to you.

Is it a lot of money?

If they don’t collect the item will come back to you and the buyer will get their money back.

its annoying that you’ve sold something, but then they can return it.

Why should the seller be penalised and lose the sale monies due to buyer not collecting!?
