The type of person that p*sses you off (semi lighthearted)

2 types of people that particularly annoy me

  1. people who will say hello/acknowledge you one minute and ignore you the next….we know each other, you know you know me and I know you, just say hello.
  2. people you have met before and chatted with (say in the workplace) who’ve asked you about yourself and then when you meet again they ask the same question and then the next time the same again…”oh how many kids have you and what age”…”5 year old twins”….a month later “oh you’ve kids what age?…”5 year old twins” and so on and so far. Not expecting you to remember every detail of my life but a significant enough fact like that would be good

People that drive slowly in front of me 😩

Like it's 20 and they're doing 15

Keeps on happening recently

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/02/2025 21:16

People who push past you in the street to indicate you're walking too slowly but then walk very slowly in front of you.

People pushing in the supermarket or shop because their shop is more important than yours

People who make liking a specific thing their ENTIRE personality and everything revolves around it.

People who are entitled about their dogs (no issue with dogs themselves)

NigelHarmansNewWife · 12/02/2025 21:18

Liars. And people who drive too slowly, as above, plus those who stop unnecessarily to let people out when there's only them and you behind them then a huge space.

^ That.

I agree with Co workers. I could pretty much repeat back to a good many co workers what their dc are up too and I don't think many would know much about mine.
Also Co workers dominating how the office is eg trying to imply the tone isn't nice but actually being unpleasant themselves because they are so self absorbed with their issues.

Ignorant people Co workers who just can't ask questions and learn and take new ideas and concepts on board

admirible · 12/02/2025 21:23

most people tbh

Germanymunch · 12/02/2025 21:23

People who refuse to indicate, especially on roundabouts.
People who drive right up your bum as if you are crawling along doing the speed limit in a pedestrian area.
People who cannot apologise, even when they know they are wrong.

Hazel665 · 12/02/2025 21:25

Queen bees in the office. People who think it's ok to say disparaging things about other people just because those people earn less. People who always try to lay the blame at other people's doors.

GroovyChick87 · 12/02/2025 21:26

I came on to say exactly your first point. People who speak sometimes and then other times avert their gaze and pretend they don't know you or they can't see you. I've had this mainly with mums I speak to at the school or at parent and toddler groups, like they only know you in a certain context and if they bump into you in Asda they suddenly become very forgetful.

Theunamedcat · 12/02/2025 21:28

people everyone loves because they are "lovely" they frequently offer to help with things they can't actually DO like we'll I would drive but I can't actually drive or I would love to help you move but I've just had surgery and I can't lift anything they always offer to do something they actually can't so get away with doing absolutely nothing meanwhile everyone runs around helping them because they are always so keen on helping even if they actually rarely help

It's very strange

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/02/2025 21:28

People who are flakey with their time keeping when they have to be somewhere for a specific time . Especially if this is their recurring action.

(Non -light hearted : People who are always bastarding late )

HappyHappyy · 12/02/2025 21:30

People who work in our local convenience store. Can't break a good morning, hello, smile, nothing. Just misery, and no manners.

ginslinger · 12/02/2025 21:33

people who say sorry instead of excuse me
people who say sorry after their dog/child/bike/scooter takes up your space without having attempted to stop this happening

staybyyou · 12/02/2025 21:36

People who stand too close in queues. It doesn't make the line move any faster!!

CookieCrumbles23 · 12/02/2025 21:36

Mines similar.

When you do acknowledge the person you know (who also knows they know you), perhaps by waving and they just give a nod with a half smile and then carry on staring into nothingness (like they’re too cool for all that waving shit 😎)

It’s not like I’m breaking out into a dance routine in the playground, why the embarrassment of waving back?!

username299 · 12/02/2025 21:38

People who complain about the same thing without doing anything about it. (I'm obviously talking about things you can change).

Melodramatic sighers

People who make everything a drama

People who make everything about them

People who just stop in front of you or stop in doorways to have a chat

RazzzzzzzzzlllllllleDaaazzzzllle · 12/02/2025 21:39

People who use every opportunity to post a selfie. One Facebook connection recently posted a few pics including of their son who had been in hospital, but with a completely gratuitous picture of herself looking beautiful. Weird.

justanotherposterfrom · 12/02/2025 21:39

The kind of person who can walk up to two close friends, while they're obviously out together, and begin a conversation with one of them, who they know well enough to chat to, leaving the other completely left out.
No hello, no smile, not a glance at the other person, just completely monopolizing the person they're talking to while not even acknowledging the presence of the other at all.

ReggaetonLente · 12/02/2025 21:40

I hate people who act like they have no agency in their own lives. Just waiting for other people to do things for them.

Gliblet · 12/02/2025 21:44

Whiners

Hypocrites

And the 'yeah, but' clan - you know, the ones who for every possibility have a 'yeah, but...' (occasionally real, usually imagined) that means they can go on sitting around complaining about things instead of doing something about them.

hattie43 · 12/02/2025 21:49

Weakness .

BlondiePortz · 12/02/2025 21:52

People who are grown adults that speak like they are 12

Supersimkin7 · 12/02/2025 21:55

Phone loons who stand motionless in the street.

Running loons who sprint down it.

Loons, choose.

AnxiousRose · 12/02/2025 22:00

People who gossip.
People who are always early.
People with really loud voices.

Been having an issue with someone who does one, three and four at the moment.
