No don't remember leaving primary school. I don't think it was a big deal in the 70s. I do remember my not first day at infant school (our village had an infant school and a junior school rather than a primary school) when my Mum took me to register to start school and they told us it was a big school year and I'd have to wait until after Easter as I was young in year.

NB they built a new school a few years after I left junior school. The old partly Victorian site was knocked down and built on. Amusingly, they named the road Primary Close.

Oh yes, we had a full on leavers' mass, bibles, shirt signing, crying etc. I also remember that evening and thinking it was the end of something. You knew where you stood in primary school. Secondary was a different kettle of fish.

No, but I’m 62 and these huge fusses weren’t made in those days. I do remember clearly my first and last days at senior school, but it’s the friends I was with and the fun we had. No fuss! Tho it was 1979 so we went to the pub!

I remember mine. I’m 43 now and I was really upset. I loved my primary school. I have such fond memories of it!
DS1 is in Year 6 and about to leave his. I’m afraid I’ll be one of “those” mums who has a little something in her eye at the leavers assembly 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t remember anything special happening on my last day at primary, but that was in 1972 and no one made any fuss about it in those days.

I remember my last day at secondary school though. In the morning I did my last A level exam and in the afternoon I went off to Glastonbury with a group of friends. It was perfect timing!

Mine was 54 years ago. I do remember it a bit, but only because the school was closing down so we had a prize day, and I was given the music cup.

It was the mid 80s and I have a very vague recollection of going round getting signatures in my autograph book, and realising that the girls who would be going to my secondary school were the ones I didn't really like.

My first impressions of secondary school are quite clear, but I remember even less about my last day of secondary school than I do of my last day at primary school.

No - I went to infants, junior then high school. Don't remember leaving any of them! Although juniors I left in 1981 and high school in 1985, we didn't have proms in those days thankfully.

Not at all, but it was 1975. Also don't remember leaving middle school (but this has bought a flash back of the leavers disco) or even upper school. No proms in my day, was looking forward to what was coming next I think.

No, though I do remember having a signed polo shirt for a while afterwards.

The only thing that I remember about my last day of secondary school was crying with relief that I'd never have to go there again after picking up my GCSE results. Unlike my mother, I won't be sending my children there (and reuniting with my old teachers at Parents' Evening) as I live far too far away!
