What are you doing over the half term?

I'm ready for pulling my hair out. I'm skint, 2 kids 13 and 11 . My 11 yr old seems to think I'm unreasonable for not taking her and her group of friends bowling, cinema, escape rooms every day. I'm happy enough nipping into town for an hour and taking my own kids for a milkshake. My son isn't bothered he's got a cold and is happy to chill and play online but my youngest is making me feel so guilty. I can't afford to do much and it's ruining my week off. Typically my other half is working so I'm alone with the kids all week. Send help please.

What sorts of things are you up to?

Will have additional teens scattered about so cooking, making sweet treats, giving lifts

Nothing planned basically this is what their friends are for!

We are historically all usually ill over feb half term so awaiting the depletion of the medicine stocks!

I'm broke too girl

There are some local events hosted by the council, as she's autistic, on two of the days

Then city farm, and the park to feed the ducks

I'm feeling ill myself but hopefully it'll pass before half term - I'm hoping for a nap tomorrow once dd is at school

The borough might be putting on stuff during half term, op? x

Nothing . I use half terms to just let the dc relax at home. They have the garden and their toys and films to watch etc . It’s always a nice reset
