Ideas for (work) team event during Ramadan?

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has any ideas for me. The team I manage have a quarterly get together and the way things work out in Q1 we will be getting together during Ramadan. One of my team is muslim and will be travelling from a different city and staying in the city I work in. They are happy to come despite it being Ramadan but they normally fast so my usual strategy of going out for a nice long lunch ad a bit of a treat/team bonding won't work. I was thinking maybe the rest of us could get a deliveroo of something nice to the office instead for our lunch.
We could play a board game for 'leisure' time - any more ideas or thoughts? I did ask my colleague what they would like to do and they said they're easy and don't mind if the rest of us went for a meal but I'd rather try to be inclusive. Thanks!

I would much rather play board games than sit through a long work lunch any day.

Some people are allowed to break fast when travelling. I might ask. They probably still won't want to eat a huge meal during though.

Is there anything nice and fun in your city? Botanical garden? Board game cafe? Any one of a million things!

How many people are in your team?

I worked in an organisation where I had a lot of Muslim colleagues and the only 'rule' for events during Ramadan was nothing really energetic and avoid a long day. You could certainly ensure you colleague was sure of getting home by the time they break their fast.

I'd say just take your cue from your cue from your colleague.

There's six people in the team. He did say he might technically not have to fast if travelling but even so he probably wouldn't be up for a meal out. He's extremely easy going so says he will fit into any plans I have or make, I just don't want to make inappropriate plans (energetic, long, eating, drinking) I really can't think of much to do except a museum or art gallery which is a bit weird for a work thing. We also only have 2 days together and the main thing is to get some work/planning done in person. But nobody has hated the board game idea so far so might go with that 🙂
