Need to be making more soup

Home made would be Leek and Potato , otherwise minestrone .

Fave soup definitely crabmeat and sweetcorn. I could wat bucket loads!!

French onion

Homemade carrot (no coriander for me tho) or courgette (I add lots of white pepper).

I don't like soup with lumps in or thin soups so make my own.

Lentil and bacon soup - my mum’s recipe.

I do a vegetarian version - red Thai lentil soup. Soften carrots and onions in a bit of oil, add red Thai curry paste and fry off, then add lentils and stock. When the lentils are cooked, blitz up with coconut milk.

I'm not crazy about blended soups either. I try to up the ratio of bread or preferably toast to soup as much as possible so that the soup is essentially a hot dipping sauce.

For me a bit less controversially, spinach, leek, plenty of garlic and nutmeg and gruyère

Tuscan bean soup is easy to make, tasty and filling.

My home-made Cream of Tomato is outstanding.

Someone on Mumsnet recommended a lettuce, pea and mint soup the other week which was so good I've made it twice since.

Leek soup, which is basically just veg stock, leeks and white pepper. Served with a fresh bloomer loaf.
My Mom always made it in Winter and it’s now a favourite in our house too.
