Weightloss

I am fat.
Like 16 stone at 5ft 7 type fat.
I was chubby, then lost alot of weight, got to 10.7st. I did it with far too few calories and far too much exercise. When other things in my life went to shit, husband lost his job, children needed surgery, deaths of 5 close relatives and friends then covid, then a change of job, and on and on...
I know how to lose weight but atm I don't have the strength to do it.
And so, like the rest of the population, or so it seems, I'm considering weight loss medication.
Is it as horrible / as effective as I am being led to believe? Because it really is the go-to of the moment and in my current state, I'm thinking, why not?
Is anyone on it? Thoughts? Things to take In to consideration?

I've been taking mounjaro for 4 weeks and am already 1 st 3lb lighter and feeling fabulous. Only downside for me is the cost but I'm willing to swallow that for the pay off of being a healthy weight. If you can afford it do it. I just wish I'd don't it months ago!

How much is it costing you?
I'm concerned about the stomach issue side effects.. emetaphobe, so the thought of nausea and vomiting is not good.

I'm with MedExpress and had a code for first month for £40 off so first pen was £109, second pen I paid full price so £149. Luckily I haven't had any gastric issues but it's important to eat 'clean' and cut out all the sugary fatty crap and fizzy drinks from your diet.

I started at 16 stone. Took Mysimba (anyone remember that?) for a while then spent a year on Wegovy. I'm currently 11 stone 3. If you can afford it OP, I say go for it. It's been a miracle drug for me. I'm menopausal with an under-active thyroid and the weight loss has been miraculous.
