Costco cakes

My daughter would like their Tuxedo cake for her birthday. Anyone know how long their dates are for please? It's a bit of a trek down for us so wanted to make sure there was a decent enough "use by" or "best before" date on them. 👍😃

Costco say not to freeze their cakes as they sometimes freeze them in the bakery. However, I've frozen them and, apparently am not dead yet (so that's a sample of one),

When I needed a birthday cake over Xmas (when they suspend selling them) the bakery were incredibly helpful. They made the cake and immediately froze it. I picked it up and got it home and into my freezer very quickly. Served it 2 weeks later and you'd never have known it had been frozen. Have a chat with them, I'm sure they'll be very helpful. The store can put you through on the phone.

Their best before is also very cautious, the cake is fine for days after if stored properly.

Just another suggestion if you have one close by, but we love Cake Box cakes, similar to Costco in that they're really moist with cream/moussey type icings (although they're egg free).

We freeze Costco muffins every time we shop there, they are perfectly fine.
We love their victoria sponge but have not tried freezing one of those (yet).
