Rainbows waiting list

Hi,

My son has been doing beavers for a while now and my daughter is desperate to go to a similar club. She is still 3 and I know rainbows is 4 but are you allowed to go onto the waiting list before the correct age? I just have read the waiting lists can be quite long so would rather get her name down asap.

Email and ask! Here if you’re not on by the time you’re 3 you won’t get a place. I added my daughter when she’d just turned 3 and had to wait a term after she turned 5 as I’d it quite late (and I thought I was being super organised and ahead of the curve!) one of my friends added her daughters at birth.

conversely, my niece decided at 8 that she wanted to be a brownie and got a place the next week, so it’s clearly location specific.

PS I think it’s 5 for rainbows not 4 - there are no 4 year olds at my daughter’s unit anyway.
