What is the going rate for a cleaner (surrey based)

We are looking to get a cleaner for our 3 bed, 2 bath house in Surrey. I have found a lovely lady who is charging £25ph and she says ideally she would do a minimum of 2 hours (which suits us any way).

She brings her own products including hoover & mop and she will have to drive to us (we are about 20 mins away from her).

Sounds fair to me but just wanted to check as we have never had a cleaner before!

Mine is £18.50 (wonder how close you are in Surrey - he’s fucking amazing). He brings his own cleaning bits as well.

@GiantPandaAttacks Oh, that’s interesting… I know the difference isn’t a lot but it does soon add up! She is meant to be good and to be honest I feel kind of committed now! But out of interest, what makes your cleaner so good? Just so I know what to look out for. We have agreed on a couple of specific things (ie she will always do the inside of the windows on each visit due to child fingerprints!) but otherwise it’s just a ‘general’ clean of the kitchen, bathroom, a good hoover and mop.

He is really thorough - to the degree of moving everything for it to be hoovered behind, he cleans my kitchen and bathroom floors by hand as he believes it gives a better finish and he hoovers lines in my rugs 😂 so that they’re neater

I am just over the county boundary into Berkshire although my cleaner lives in Surrey! She charges £15/hour, but does not bring her own products or kit and walks between clients.

@GiantPandaAttacks where in Surrey are you?

May I ask, what makes him special apart from lines in your rug!? I'm looking to start my own business and would like tips please!

Our cleaners are £17 ph. They bring their own stuff. They are ok, not as good as the man a PP is describing, but if I leave a detailed list (please clean bathroom floors by hand) then they are ok. I am on the Surrey Hampshire border.

My cleaner (South east) charges £15 an hour and uses my products. However, her service has gone downhill and I've got a new person popping in later to have a look. They're also £15 ph.
